Berlin Gone International

What makes your GGI so special?

I love that all of the girls who are part of GGI Berlin are so friendly and supportive of each other, always there to give advice to the other members and share their experiences! Everyone who comes to our events walks in with an open heart and leaves with new friends and a smile on their faces, and I just love that!

Any thoughts on friendship and making friends as a Girl Gone International?

My one piece of advice is to put yourself out there! Ask that nice girl that you met for her Facebook details or her phone number, and then contact her and ask her to hang out! Friendship dating is like any dating, it can be nerve racking, but if you have a connection with someone it's worth it, so go for it!

If I have never been to one of your events in Dublin, why should I go and what should I expect?

If it is your first time at one of or events you can expect a room filled with friendly and welcoming faces! If you are an international woman who wants to meet some like minded GGI's, to make some new friends in a fun environment while exploring what this fantastic city has to offer, then you should come to one of our events!

Tell us a story about some of the friends you have made through Girl Gone International or a friendship you have witnessed come to life via your GGI group.

I met three amazing ladies through GGI when I first came to Berlin - and three years later they are still such a central part of my life! We laugh together, go out for meals together, swap war stories about our dating lives, share the highs and the lows, cry together, and then go out and dance our booties off! They are everything to me, and I am so grateful to GGI for bringing them into my life.

What do you love about being a Community Manager (a.k.a. CM)?

When I first moved to Berlin I really struggled to find my feet here. I was not working yet, and while I was going to language school, I was not really making any friends I could hang out with outside of the classroom. Then I discovered GGI, and everything changed!

I met some fantastic girls who were in the same position as me, and three years later they are still my best friends here and will be my friends for life. I am a CM because I feel passionately about Girl Gone International as an amazing platform for girls to make new friends and find their place in a new city - it literally changed my life here, and I love that I get to be part of that experience for other GGI's in Berlin!

What it is like living in your city as a GGI?

Berlin is a fantastic city to be a GGI in - it's so international, vibrant and fun! There are always new festivals happening, new restaurants and bars to explore, and best of all so many international people live here that it is really easy to build yourself a little community of people who share the same experiences as you do.
