group travel T&Cs

Our group travel experiences are peer to peer organised meet ups in different countries all over the world. They are voluntarily led and organised. No profit is made. It is the equivalent of a group of friends getting together to plan a trip away together. So while we are not a company organising travel, we think it is helpful to put together some terms and conditions and expectations as it is good to know such things from the start!

1. Bookings

All bookings are made via, you can read their terms and conditions here :

2. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of €100 per person per trip is required for your booking to be confirmed.

3. Payments

Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 10 days before the beginning of the trip.

4. Prices & surcharges

Trip prices and activity prices are subject to change as they can be outside our control. Prices are in euros. All banking charges are your own. You must book your own flights, insurance and budget sufficiently to cover additional activities and meals. The price is fixed, for example if you can only come for 4 nights of the 5 this does not mean that your trip price is less. Why? Because we have to cover the cost of the house which is based on 5 nights at full occupancy so even if you are not there for one of the nights we are still charged as if you are and we cannot cover that cost for you nor can it be borne by others on the trip. Thanks for understanding.

5. Your details

You must provide all requested details with the balance of the trip price including flight details, full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date and any pre-existing medical conditions you have.

6. Cancellation by you

If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:

- 30 days or more prior to departure, we will retain the deposit;

- between 15 and 29 days prior to departure, we will retain 50% of the total booking cost

- 14 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking.

Insurance policy will not cover your cancellation. However you can find a replacement for yourself and we can help with that too, but we can not guarantee it.

7. Cancellation by us

If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.

8. Booking amendments

Travel insurance is mandatory and should be taken out at the time of booking.  Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of €200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide proof of your travel insurance on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to join the trip without it.  If you obtain travel insurance through WeTravel you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the level of insurance we have arranged.

You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for alternatives. Please note we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that may be incurred as a result of the change of itinerary.

18. Authority on tour

Our group trips are run voluntarily and peer to peer. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the majority of the group.  If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund.  You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines.

19. Acceptance of risk

You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. It is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel. You agree to purchase valid and fully comprehensive travel insurance and provide this documentation on arrival and sign a waiver which acknowledges that Girl Gone International nor any of the team members are responsible for you in any way.

The contract for the provision of that activity including accommodation, will be between you and activity or accommodation provider.
